July 13, 2011 Updated Jul 13, 2011 at 10:46 PM CDTDuluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) - A few minutes in the back yard turned out to a stroke of good luck for a Duluth couple.
While grilling up dinner Matt Citarella and Ann Marie Scanlon discovered a patch of four-leaf clovers. First they found one, and then another, and then another one.
When the counting was done they collected 18 of the lucky charms in West Duluth.
According to tradition, such leaves bring good luck to their finders, especially if found accidentally.
"Who knows, maybe we can start selling these, said Citarella. "This is our good fortune, selling them, if you can't find one, buy one."
It has been estimated that there are approximately 10,000 three-leaf clovers for every four-leaf clover.
